About

Trade and Export Promotion Center Nepal, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.  The Government of Nepal has established “Trade and Export Promotion Centre”, a national trade promotion organization of the country in November 2006, as a focal point, by merging three organizations namely Trade Promotion Centre, Export Promotion Board and Carpet & Wool Development Board, with the objective of promoting foreign trade in general and export trade in particular of the country.

Trade Point Nepal is hosted by Trade and Export Promotion Center Nepal. Among its main functions are:

  • to Contribute to strengthening the national economy by developing and expanding trade and export of the country.
  • Support in achieving the goal of poverty alleviation through the development of rural economy by enhancing internal and external market for agro-based and other products.
  • Launch programs by establishing coordination among different agencies for increasing the production of exportable products.
  • Assist to diversify trade by identifying potential market for exportable products.
  • Cooperate in opening institutions for export promotion and to diversify trade and extend support to such institutions.

Services

1. e-Trade ID

Access to the e-Trade ID introduced to bring a higher level of security to all parties involved in a transaction. A digital identity bringing a unique credential that can be used to access to WTPF services.

2. Electronic Trade Opportunities (ETO Trust)

Provides access to the ETO Trust system of WTPF, which allows certified SMEs to post and receive selling and buying leads of products and services of the member companies of the Trade Points and e-Trade Desks.

3. Trade Research

Undertakes market research for entering into new markets.

4. Trade Mission Visits

Logistical support and meeting arrangements for trade missions for member companies.

5. Trade Information

Assistance to members in their various trade information requirements.
