TRADEPOINT BIENTINA-TOSCANA Italy

The Trade Point Bientina – Toscana, opened on November 6th, 2006, is a center of development, growth, promotion and internationalization addressed to small and medium enterprises.

The Bank of Bientina – Cooperative Credit (located in the Tuscany core, in Pisa’s Province) have realized this project with the UNCTAD endorsement and the collaboration of Pisa Province, Chamber of Commerce, Bientina Commune and the local professional association (see section dedicated to “Partners” for more information).

“Our bank have achieved this project but we now place it at SMEs disposal” said Mr Massimo Camillieri, the chairman of Bank’s board.

It’s the first time a bank have initiated a Trade Point. “It’s possible under its nature of cooperative credit bank, with prevalent mutuality”, said Mr. Stefano Valentini, the Bank of Bientina’s manager and Trade Point director.

The Trade Point Bientina – Toscana is also the first in the centre of Italy.

At the opening were present: Bruno Masier, the WTPF President, Gaetano Visalli, the general secretary adviser for peace, political and diplomatic affairs of United Nations Organizations in Geneva, Maria Fiorella Scandura, the Prefect of Pisa, Marco Braccini, the Bientina’s mayor, Pierfrancesco Pacini, the Chamber of Commerce chairman and Graziano Turini, the councillor in economic development of Pisa Province.
